Robert Hand has written a number of ground-breaking texts about astrology, including his comprehensive "Planets in Transit," which was actually written for a computer program. He talks about the process of becoming an astrologer and writing so many books on the topic. Hand gives a preview of his keynote in which he discusses how different astrological traditions can come to similar conclusions while using different techniques, and argues that they can be seen as different languages that say the same thing. Hand reflects on his process for translating historical Medieval texts of astrology from Latin, and the development of Project Hindsight. He sees the potential for a grand synthesis between the modern astrological innovations and the foundational elements from the restored techniques of Medieval and Hellenistic astrology.
