In this first interview, Jen Gouvea, MSW explains how she uses the combination of flower essences and astrology to facilitate self-development and recovery from crises and change in her healing practice. She describes specific essences that are useful for people coping with life changes and traumatic events such as divorce, job loss, home foreclosure, fears concerning financial stability, loss of a loved one or even natural disasters.
She also explains how change can become an opportunity for finding one's soul purpose and discusses specific essences that address the transformation from crises to resilience to renewed purpose. Jen Gouvea first began using flower essences in 2004. They have had a remarkable influence on her own ability to recover from physical and emotional challenges. She has a Masters of Social Work and has experience working with issues of mental health, relationships, diversity, trauma, loss, and grief. She has also used mind-body and mindfulness techniques to work with clients in substance abuse recovery as well as with combat veterans coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. In her healing practice, she uses Evolutionary and Soulsign Astrology as a road map for understanding soul development. She is currently completing her flower essence certification process through the Flower Essence Society.
Adam Gainsburg has authored three books, including Chiron: The Wisdom of a Deeply Open Heart. Adam is the founder of Soulsign Astrology and an active teacher and lecturer at astrology conferences since 2007. His work emphasizes the Heart's evolutionary intelligence at the core of all astrological method. His next book, Bridges of Union, will present a comprehensive delineation model of the 13 phases in the Mars and Venus synodic cycles. Adam also records a monthly podcast on the synodic cycles of Venus and Mars and is developing an online tool to merge astronomical advances with astrological wisdom.
